CAUTION! When slicing bread with a knife be careful not to place your fingers in line with the cutting action of the knife. Do not allow children to use this product. Handle with care, knives are very sharp.
I personally hand craft the "Oak Mini" bread slicing guide in Lincolnton, Georgia from solid 3/4-inch oak lumber for the side rails and 1/2-inch oak veneer for the bread table. This little guide will cut with the best of them. Give it a try!
The guide is designed to cut 1/2-inch-thick slices of bread quickly and easily horizontally.
The pictures show a loaf of bread that measures 5 1/2 inches wide x 7 inches long x 6 1/2 inches tall.
The slicing guide ships with a anti slip mat that is placed under the slicing guide to stop it from sliding on your countertop while slicing.
Your order will ship free the same day or the next business day from when I receive the paid order.
Videos are available showing the guide being used by going to “You Tube” and searching for “Mystery Lathe”.
A few words of advice:
The 5 1/2-inch guide has an overall width of 7 inches and will not work well with a short 10-inch bread knife. I use one that is 12 inches long.
The 6 1/2-inch guide has an overall width of 8 inches and will not work well with a short 10-inch bread knife. I use one that is 12 inches long.
The bread needs to rest on your counter and cool down to room temperature. I find that the longer it rests the better it will slice. The minimum thickness you can obtain has a lot to do with the density and softness of the bread you are cutting.
Use caution while slicing with a knife to avoid injury. Knife not included with guide.
If you ever have any questions, issues or problems with your guide please call or text my cell phone: 315-868-3453 or email me at "firstname.lastname@example.org". Give me a chance to make things right. Don't be surprised when I just say hello upon answering. This really is my personal cell phone. I'm 74 and this is my hobby not a money grabbing business.
