You are buying the bowl featured in the accompanying photographs. Each wood turning is unique in its own way, plus signed and dated on the bottom.
Cracks and wood knots cause problems when working with old dry cedar found on the forest floor as can be seen in some of the photographs of my bowls. You as a consumer have two choices...……..walk away from the piece or accept the wood as God gave it to us to enjoy for what it is. This old cedar is the same as the people we meet every day, not every one of either is perfect.
This bowl was hand turned on my 50 plus year old wood lathe from a aromatic cedar tree that had been laying on the forest floor for years near my shop. This bowl does not have any type of wood finish applied. The aroma of cut cedar is amazing as you hold this bowl in your hand. It will be a perfect addition to your home or office.
I can't guarantee natures work. I can only assure you that when I am working on the wood lathe all the skill and ability I have will go into what nature has provided me.

Dear Pa 🙂 I JUST LOVE your pieces when you make them out of “just plain wood” with no oils or finishes or wax or... This little bowl is just that, a little bowl. It feels like natural silky velvet and is pretty just as it is, without “makeup”. It smells nice and I promise you, I’ll treasure it! Thank you also for the wonderfully scented Cedar wood slices and little carved buddy who came along for the ride. I want to tell people to treat themselves and definitely stop by your shop, and I am, as long as they save something for me so I can come back too for a visit! : ) Life’s truest pleasures are so simple and sweet!
