You are buying the bowl featured in the accompanying photographs. Each wood turning is unique in its own way, plus signed and dated on the bottom.
Cracks and wood knots cause problems when working with old dry cedar found on the forest floor as can be seen in some of the photographs of my bowls. You as a consumer have two choices...……..walk away from the piece or accept the wood as God gave it to us to enjoy for what it is. This old cedar is the same as the people we meet every day, not every one of either is perfect.
This bowl was hand turned on my 50 plus year old wood lathe from a aromatic cedar tree that had been laying on the forest floor for years near my shop. This bowl does not have any type of wood finish applied. The aroma of cut cedar is amazing as you hold this bowl in your hand. It will be a perfect addition to your home or office.
I can't guarantee natures work. I can only assure you that when I am working on the wood lathe all the skill and ability I have will go into what nature has provided me.

Hi! Your box arrived today, which is sooner than I expected! I have to say that I really like the natural little bowl! It’s very cute and I just like the look of the plain, natural wood, the way God made it! It is beautiful with its swirling grains, and it’s amazing that such pretty artistry is hidden where we would never see it, if not for wood crafters like you. Thank you!
