Slice your loaves of bread easily and quickly horizontally by using the Adjustable "Closed Box" Bread Slicing Guide. The "Closed Box" can be adjusted in seconds to slice your loaf into approximant 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8 or 3/4-inch slices. The "Closed Box" can fit loaves up to 7 inches wide.

Which "Box" guide to choose, "Open Box" or "Closed Box"?
1. Both will cut equally well.
2. The "Closed Box" gives you a different set of slice thicknesses. "Closed Box" 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4-inches. "Open Box" 3/8, 1/2, 3/4-inches.
3. The "Open Box" will allow you to slice your loaf quicker as you can push the cut slice of the bread tray with the loaf due to the open end of the
"Box" and immediately slice another slice.

I hand craft each bread guide in my wood shop located in Lincolnton GA. The "Closed Box" slicing guide is made out of solid 3/4-inch Oak lumber. The adjustable table the bread rests on is food safe BPA free high-density polypropylene and dishwasher safe.

Take note of the "Box Joints" on all four corners of the "Closed Box" slicing guide. They are there for two reasons .... strength and beauty!! This "Closed Box" guide will last for generations. I use a "food safe" mineral oil finish to add beauty to the oak. It will dry out with time. To refresh the wood simply wipe on another coat of mineral oil and the "Closed Box" will look like new.

Do not place the wooden Oak part of your guide into water or a dish washer. Simply wipe off with a damp cloth if needed. The white table is dishwasher safe.

Adjustment for slice thickness is done by moving four pins into the correct holes. I include 4 extra pins in the shipment along with a free anti slip mate to keep the guide from moving around on your counter as you slice. The mate material and pins are available at most hardware stores if ever needed.

A bread knife with a blade length of 12-inches is a minimum length for slicing.

Make sure your bread has cooled down before slicing. I let mine rest overnight before slicing. Your slicing success will depend on it.
