Slice your loaves of bread easily and quickly horizontally by using the Adjustable "Open Box" Bread Slicing Guide. The "Open Box" can be adjusted in seconds to slice your loaf into approximant 3/8 + 1/2 + 7/8-inch-thick slices. The "Open Box" can fit loaves up to 7-inches wide.

Adjustment for slice thickness is done by moving the white bread table to different slots on the oak sides.

I hand craft each bread guide in my wood shop located in Lincolnton GA. The "Open Box" slicing guide is made out of solid 3/4-inch Oak lumber. The adjustable table the bread rests on is 3/16-inch-thick food safe BPA free high-density polypropylene cutting board material and is dishwasher safe.

Take note of the "Box Joints" on the two corners of the "Open Box" slicing guide. They are there for two reasons .... strength and beauty!! This "Open Box" guide will last for generations. I use a "food safe" mineral oil finish to add beauty to the oak. It will dry out with time. To refresh the wood simply wipe on another coat of mineral oil or cutting board oil and the "Open Box" will look like new.

I include a free anti slip mate to keep the guide from moving around on your counter as you slice. The mate material is available at most hardware stores if ever needed.

A few words of advice in using a horizontal slicing guide:

I have hundreds of my horizontal slicing guides all over the USA and 99% of the people using them are very happy as you can witness in my reviews. After selling close to 2,000 of my various style horizontal and vertical slicing guides I find that if you have issues with the use of your hands to slice bread, I advise you to not buy a horizontal slicing guide, buy a vertical guide. It requires more dexterity to slice horizontally than vertically. BUT........if your hands work........horizontal slicing is the fastest and easiest way to slice perfect slices of your bread. Don't forget that after you use your guide, if you're not satisfied, it can be returned for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. The old saying "Practice makes perfect" applies to learning how to use this guide.

A bread knife with a blade length of at least 12 inches is recommended for slicing. A shorter knife will not work. Knife not included with order.

Do not place your guide into water or a dish washer. Simply wipe off with a dry or damp cloth if needed.
